Diamond Lake Grand Prix, Owensboro, KY Happenings

Been trying to get this together as soon as possible to help promote this event as much as possible. We mulled over the flexibility of the event and are really trying to attract local racers to our event, and make it convenient for them to add SIRA racing to their schedules. We finally came up with a plan to just offer Saturday as a practice day, so any local racers could either join us for a few sessions before running at their own events Saturday night. No pressure of having to run a Saturday heat race!

We are offering $50 in gift/gas cards to the Jr. 1, Jr. 2, and all Senior class winners, and depending on our entry count, may increase the payout deeper in larger entry classes. Also, depending on total entries we may have a couple of "for fun races" to conclude our Saturday program with similar payout. We'll see how the afternoon goes and how you racers feel about things to make a no pressure decision.

Saturday practice fee of just $20 will apply, as well as regular race entry fees. Please remember that member or not anyone can save $10 off their entry fee by preregistering with Trish Simpson before the entry deadline (www.sirakarting.org - click on the "next race entry" tab).

Don't Forget to Submit Your Driver Profiles!

Your driver profile is an excellent way to showcase your racing season and biography. It allows potential sponsors stay up-to-date with your current performance, and gives spectators a chance to learn who you are in a few quick seconds. It only takes a few seconds to set up and is a free tool provided by the SIRA. All you need to get started is:

1 - Select a recent photo (recommended size is 300px X 300px)
2 - Write a paragraph about who you are. For help with writing a bio, view JT's quick tips for short bio writing.
3 - Email the information to jtswebdesign@yahoo.com

It's that easy! Afterwards, you can share your page over social media with friends and family. Let them know your SIRA profile is online and they can follow you through the entire season!
