4/15/2012 - 2012 Rule Book Updated

SIRA announces Greenwood Grand Prix added to the schedule for 2012 with a two year contract. The race will be held September 8th and 9th at Craig Park.

2nd Annual Martinsville “Thunder in the Valley” Grand Prix is Set

The karters of the Southern Indiana Racing Association (SIRA) will take to the street course of Martinsville, Indiana Saturday and Sunday, May 19th and 20th, for the second running of the “Thunder in the Valley Grand Prix”. Go-kart racing was welcomed by this community last year, and became a marquis, don’t miss race, for the competitors and the spectators. Word quickly spread about the event and those racers that missed the race last year have made sure to have it on their schedule for this years running. (Read More)

SIRA Opener a Chiller at Lucas Oil Raceway Park

The Southern Indiana Racing Association (SIRA), presented by Carbonix, kicked off the 2012 season opener at Lucas Oil Raceway Park, Saturday, April 28th. Utilizing part of the famous 5/8ths oval, a temporary course using the front straight, first turn, and the Race of Champions course made for a fast, challenging track of around a third of a mile. Challenge was a double term as the weather was worse than any experienced in this part of the country of the past winter. (Read More)
